A SIX-year-old American boy has started out on a rock tour as a drummer, playing at the Hard Rock Cafe and private parties.
Avery Molek, who started playing with a toy drum set when he was two years old, is now mentored by KISS drummer Eric Singer, after the toddler asked his parents to send videos of him drumming to his rock hero.
Molek also has his own website, YouTube channel and features on KISS's Facebook page.
The boy's parents, Ed and Elizabeth Molek of the Pennsylvanian rown of Washington in the US, began video taping their son playing on his toy drums as a means of getting him to finish playing songs.
"The discipline wasn't there yet because he was so young," his father told the US ABC TV news network.
"Once he knew he was being recorded, he was more methodical in playing from beginning to end."
Ed Molek posted the videos to YouTube to share with family members, and on Avery's request contact KISS.
Avery and Singer are now in constant email contact and the boy is in demand to play gigs.
The six-year-old has embarked on his second tour, called "Out of the Basement II".
Avery said drumming was "very fun and sometimes you can rock out on things".
