WHAT would you do with three hours to kill?
I don't want to alarm you but it seems that by stepping into any area of public space these days and you're immediately surrounded by half-conscious zombies.
On the street you'll see them, smartphones in hand, headphones in, only barely concentrating on where they're walking.
Life used to be something that happened when you were busy making other plans, but now it's whenever you can be bothered switching off from technology.
So it's surprising to see the result of someone that kept their hands free from technology, instead using his creativity to create this modest masterpiece.
Reddit user SquishyMcPhee went to have a minor service on his car at a mechanic when he came across an incredibly decorated styrofoam cup.
According to the receptionist a young man had come in to have some work done on his car, which was going to take about three hours, so he grabbed a ball-point pen and a coffee cup.
The result is this cup. With intricately detailed hand-carved chains, characters from popular culture and a poignant message about how the choices we make everyday determine the people we become:
"Each of us
"Has choices to make
"Each day. What you choose determines
"Your future and the
"Person you become"
Perhaps a clue as to who this anonymous artist is?
"If you look deep within
"A piece of art
"You will find a piece of its creator.
And finally, a message to the zombies:
"Smile - It's easy 'N' it's free"
