- Teen develops program to block Twitter TV spoilers
- Program won 'hacking' competition
- Wanted: Hackers for Telstra
THIS 17-year-old could have an answer to that age-old dilemma: How do you avoid Game of Thrones spoilers on Twitter?
Jennie Lamere was the only female in the TVnext Hack competition, and she won with a program that allows you to block references to certain television shows on Twitter, through a Google Chrome add-on.
The New Hampshire high school student beat teams competing who were sponsored by companies with the program, called Twivo.
With the add-on, users can simply type in the name of the show they want to block references to (in Jennie’s case, Dance Moms) and how long for, and Tweets mentioning that show disappear for the assigned time.
Since the competition a couple of weeks ago, Jennie has been approached by tech company Furious Minds, who will help her market the product, Mother Jones reports.
