Viewers not too impressed with Voices

THE Voice coaches may love everything they hear, but the Australian public are voting with their iTunes accounts.

The TV hit has cooled somewhat on the iTunes chart after last night’s performances which were hailed as "flawless" and "perfect".

Luke Kennedy's Time to Say Goodbye from Sunday is still outselling anything from last night's episode, sitting at No.2.

The highest-seller from Monday was Celia Pavey's near-identical cover of Joni Mitchell's Woodstock, at No.4 on iTunes.

Robin Thicke at No.1 and Daft Punk at No.3 are still playing havoc with The Voice's plans for iTunes domination.

Only two other songs from last night have cracked today’s Top 10 - Michael Stangel's remake of American Idol winner Philip Phillip's Home at No.7 and Lyric McFarland's take on Al Green's Let’s Stay Together at No.8.

Sunday night stars Emma Pask and Caterina Torres remain in the Top 10, outselling less popular acts from last night including Danny Ross' take on Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower (No.21) Ben Goldstein’s rendition of Bob Marley's Waiting in Vain (No.41), Nathan Allgood's cover of Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man (No.42), Tim Morrison's reading of Foo Fighters' Learn to Fly (No.53) and Kathy Hinch's imagining of Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love (No.65).

The Voice has yet to spawn a major hit on the ARIA singles chart, unlike last year’s performers including Karise Eden.

This week's ARIA No.1, Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines, sold 48,000 downloads last week; the highest Voice entry on the ARIA chart was Harrison Craig’s cover of Michael Buble's Home which sold 10,539 copies to debut at No.13, despite being seen by an audience of millions.

Other Voice stars including Jackie Sanna and Miss Murphy sold around 5000 downloads to land in the ARIA Top 30 this week.

Sales on iTunes count for two votes for Voice contestants.
