KANYE West has reportedly filmed a cameo in the upcoming Anchorman sequel, Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

The rapper was spotted filming scenes for the much-anticipated sequel in downtown Atlanta earlier this week, and girlfriend Kim was briefly on set to support him, Hollywood.com reports.

A witness who saw West filming a scene on a rooftop with stars Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd says the Gold Digger singer was "quite afraid of heights and required an umbrella for shade most of the time he was on the roof."

West's role in the comedy is yet to be confirmed by the studio, but hilarious duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are also believed to be making cameos.

The three A-listers round out a list of big names making appearances, including Sacha Baron Cohen, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson and Nicole Kidman.

The newcomers join the already star-studded cast of Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.

Next year will mark the ten year anniversary of the 2004 cult classic Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

The Australian Release date for The Legend Continues is set for December 20.
