FROM dealing with Hollywood studios to streaming Sydney's famous New Year's Eve fireworks live around the world, Australian entrepreneur James Fox has built a world-leading company.

His company Vividas produces video for all devices, and was last year involved in a world-first, partnering with global media companies to stream the Global Citizen Festival from New York's Central Park to millions of online viewers.

Mr Fox, who is based in New York, said the success of the company stemmed from their management of digital rights.

"It's designed to prevent piracy – we've got extremely strong digital rights management," he said.

Mr Fox said his clients were able to see who was streaming video, where and when, and video pirates were unable to download the high-quality video.

He said his job was thrilling and varied, with heaps of travel and dealing with live events.

"As a young person involved in the tech space, it's very exciting," Mr Fox said.

"We're often dealing with live events and Hollywood studios."
