NOOOOOOOOOOOO. RYAN Gosling says he is taking a break from acting.
The 32-year-old film star says he wants to take some time out to consider his future and says not only he will benefit from the absence in motion pictures, but his fans will too.
"I've been doing it too much," he told the Associated Press. "I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it.
“And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."
Gosling says he is concerned with ruining his great reputation in the acting world by accepting more and more roles.
He believes setting limits for himself will create some longevity for his career.
"The more opportunities I'm given, the more I learn about how easy it is to f**k it up," he explained. "You fight for freedom and then you get it, and then you have enough rope to hang yourself. It's like trying to exercise some restraint because I do have so much freedom."
But before he disappears from our screens, film fans can catch him in The Place Beyond the Pines, in which he plays a motorbike rider turned bank robber.
Gosling stars in the movie with his girlfriend Eva Mendes as well as Bradley Cooper.
