WILL the upcoming release of the Samsung S4 on Wednesday be enough to throw Apple off its throne?

Some experts seem to think so.

Francisco Jeronimo, technology analyst from IDC firm told The Daily Mail that Apple is not leading the market anymore. "I wouldn't be surprised if the new Samsung device sells more than the new Apple device over the next two years," he said.

The Galaxy S4 is one of the most eagerly awaited devices of 2013.

If the rumours are true, the phone will support eye control technology that can scroll up and down according to the movement of your eyes and pause action when your eyes are still.

It is also rumoured to support wireless charging.

The phone will also sport an eight core processing chip (the iPhone 5 sports a two core chip) and a five inch screen (2 inches larger than its predecessor, the Galaxy S3 which is 4.8 inches long).

The S3 briefly outsold the iPhone 4S last year but Apple has since regained the top spot with the release of the iPhone 5.

Could the S4 be enough to end Apple's reign over the tech market? Only time will tell.
