KING of darkness Nick Cave has been ironically bumped off the top of the Australian charts by the Hillsong Church.

Hillsong United's Zion becomes their second chart topper from a prolific 59 albums released since 1988.

The Sydney based church have had 13 Top 10 albums in Australia under the names Hillsong, Hillsong Live and Hillsong United.

Zion sold 6400 copies nationally last week; compared to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' Push the Sky Away reaching No.1 on just under 8000 copies sold the week before.

Cave fell to No.5 today with 4281 second week sales.

Push the Sky Away became Cave's first No.1 album in a recording career that stretches back to 1977.

Pink's Just Give Me a Reason has returned to No.1 on the singles chart, with novelty hit Harlem Shake relegated to just one week on top.

Being the butt of goat jokes seems to have paid off for Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble.

The song, which has been spliced with goat screaming and paper towel dispensers on You Tube, jumps to No.21 this week.

Winning an Oscar for Best Song from a Movie sees Adele's Skyfall bullet from No.70 to No.40 on this week's ARIA chart.

It's not a great week for pop acts on the charts. Boy band One Direction's Blondie cover One Way or Another drops from No.3 to No.10 after just one week.

And Justin Bieber's Believe Acoustic album continues its freefall, dropping from No.28 to No.57 this week.

Melbourne rock icon Russell Morris has scored his first Top 30 album since 1981.

Morris' blues album Sharkmouth, featuring songs about Phar Lap and Squizzy Taylor, jumped from No.46 to No.28 this week.

Morris, best known for 1969's The Real Thing, funded the album himself and released it independently.

Bucking the usual chart trends, the album has gained in sales each week after being released four months ago.
