Superstar Springsteen rocks Sydney fans

US rock star Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are about to hit the stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

IT HAS always been one of his signature songs but Bruce Springsteen has rested Born In the USA from his set-list.

Several fans hit Twitter over the weekend to express their disbelief he wasn't playing it here.

With The Boss starting his three-night stand at Sydney's Allphones Arena tonight, it appears there are only a handful of songs guaranteed to make the cut after his first two concerts in Brisbane last week.

Join Kathy McCabe from 9pm as she tweets live updates from The Boss's Sydney concert.

Several are from his latest record Wrecking Ball, including the title track Death To My Hometown and Shackled and Drawn.

Other crowd favourites which were aired both nights in Brisbane included Waitin' On A Sunny Day, The Ghost of Tom Joad, Spirit In The Night, Badlands and My City of Ruins.

The radio hits Born To Run, Dancing In the Dark and closer Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out appeared in both encores and should remain in the closing set during the Australian tour as they did on many of the American concerts last year.
